In light of recent third party distribution site issues (see All Romance closure), Mischief Corner Books is carefully re-evaluating our third party distribution channels. We want to be sure that both you, the consumer, and our authors have the best possible book buying experience and are also protected from fraud and piracy.
Over the next month, we will be transition titles at the sales sites below from their current channels to new distributors. You may experience no interruption of service or changes in your libraries BUT we highly recommend that if you use any of these sites for your purchases that you back up your Mischief Corner titles in the next two weeks.
Sales sites affected: Apple Inktera Baker and Taylor Overdrive ScribD Gardners Yuzu Tolina Odilo Bookstrand
We will be back at Apple and Scribd, but our method of distribution will have changed. We should also be back at Overdrive in the coming months.
However, it is unlikely we will be back at the other distribution sites such as Bookstrand.
You may have noticed we have a couple books no longer available from Mischief Corner.
Please do not worry! They will be back on shelves in the next couple of months.
Toni is focusing on her Atherton Pack and Hounds of Hell series this year, and as such decided to expand her first Hounds of Hell story, Archie's Accidental Kidnapping, before the sequel, Pyro's Accidental Shooting is released. AAK will have substantial additions as well as a new cover and another surprise - we hope. *crosses fingers*
The other book currently not available is Freddy's Internment. It will be re-released with some minor edits, a new cover, and 4 color illustrations from Mila May. This is to make way for its sequel, Enhearten, coming out late Spring. Freddy has the first draft done and is now going through beta reads and edits for the new story!
IMP Universe stories
As many of you heard, Wilde City Press is closing their doors. It's sad news for all of us. The team at WCP brought some wonderful stories to the world. Two of those happen to be from Mischiefiers Angel and Freddy.
These stories happen to be a part of the same universe as Angel's, A Christmas Cactcus for the General, and as such we have decided that the stories will be coming to MCB. We have not determined when they will be getting released, but we want a plan in place before we do. We will keep you updated.
We here at MCB have been moving along steadily, and wanted to share some updates.
First, The Atherton Packbooks will start rereleasing in July. Yay! The first two books have only minor edit changes while Corey (the third book) will be expanded. And once those are done, Toni can start working on her series again. The Silver fiasco left many an author in a difficult spot and we were glad that we could help Toni out of it. Now that she has gotten most of her rereleases worked out, we look forward to future Smokey Mountain Bears, Hounds of Hell, Borillian Twistand, of course, more The Atherton Pack for readers to enjoy.
Second, Andi Anderson (also a Silver Refugee) will be bringing her wonderfully sweet series, The Menof Charlestown, to Mischief Corner Books. We look forward to getting this series back out there for her as well as helping her continue it along with her Sons of Aphrodite Series. We know everyone has been eagerly awaiting the finished Men of Charlestown seriesand the continuation of the Sons of Aphrodite, and Andi is working furiously to put those books in her readers hands.
Third, we are releasing an omnibus of Angel'sBrimstonestories. Readers will be able to get all three stories in one punch. But never fear, Angel doesn't mean to stop the series. Shax and the crew are too much fun. She does, however, have other projects slated that deserve her attention just as much.
And lastly, but not least, we have our first contracted story for the MCB Quarterly. We look forward to sharing more news about our exciting new adventure. We love being able to give a new avenue for writers to share their LGBTQ fiction. if you, and an author you know would like to submit, you can find our guidelines HERE.
