Freddy sent me my first box a year or so ago in the post, all the way from Chicago to Darwin, Australia. When I opened the pack I was a little disappointed as I'm not a big mint fan, have never really liked it. I didn't want to be a bad friend though and opened the box. I thought I would give them a try so I could at least say thanks but please don't send them to me again. (Freddy if you are reading this, DO NOT listen to that last sentence. I didn't mean it. I swear. *Bats eyes*)
Instead it was like dying and going to heaven. Words really can't describe just how delicious these chocolates are.
So my good friend Freddy thought she'd be nice and send me another parcel six months later. Something, somewhere along the way went wrong and this is what I ended up receiving. Still tasted good though, let me tell you.
I was nice and brought a couple of boxes home, one for me, one for my mum and another for a work friend of mine. By the time my colleague left work there were only 4 meltaways left in the box. Within a half hour of her opening them she was on the internet trying to see if there was any way to get them shipped here from the US.
After my mother went home (she flew over to look after my daughter while I was away) she complained to me that every time she went to the fridge to get a meltaway my dad would ask for one too. She wasn't happy about having to share her chocolates. I just laughed.
These things have to be laced with some kind of drug they're so damn addictive. I have to restrain myself otherwise my entire box would have been gone the day I got off the plane. Instead, I'm the only one out of the three of us that has any left. I may have taken a photo of my meltaways and sent it to my mother the other day to taunt her. What? I'm a good girl, really. *Grins*
