Stuff We Like #4

Hello Everyone! *waves*

Welcome back to the weekly Stuff We Like. This is your friendly neighborhood squirrel, Freddy. No, really. I mean it. ;)

For this week's edition, I wanted to share one of my addictions - gadgets. I love gadgets. All sorts of gadgets. The more practical, the more purposeful, the more I like it.

This week's gadget is my iPad mini keyboard. *points down to picture*

I commute Monday through Friday into Chicago for my job using the train. This little keyboard has become my friend because it allows me to work on any WIP I have during that time if I desire to (I'll admit, sometimes at 5 AM I am not inspired but tired) on my iPad mini - a family Christmas present to me last year - instead of having to lug around a laptop. It's way more convenient than carrying around the laptop and just as easy to use for typing.

I had a Logitech bluetooth keyboard that I liked, but it met with an unfortunate accident and had issues since then. It also had issues with how it snapped into its case. If you weren't careful a certain section had a product fail and could break - the sales people at Apple warned me about it - but it was supposed to work best with the mini.

I enjoyed it while I had it, got used to it. Having the whole screen to work with while typing and not just have of it (the mini's aren't that big) really made the difference in typing on the go for me.
When the old one broke, I got this Zagg keyboard. I haven't really had it long enough to have any complaints. The connection with the old Logitech did seem better, as well as the keyboard seemed to be superior made - though that's what broke. I do like the housing on this keyboard better. Less chance to break it if I am taking it in and out of the case. It also is more stable when it is on a surface or lap. The keyboard is lightweight so no complaints there.

I can say I would recommend this, or the versions for iPad or iPad Air, if you travel (commute) a lot and don't necessary want to lug around your laptop. I got a keyboard for my grandpa and he has enjoyed using it, found it easier to navigate/do certain things on his iPad - he is 99 and his hands shake - so it's always nice to find something that makes his life easier.

What about you guys? What gadget have you found that has made it easier to use your tech?
